One fine busy Saturday

August 29, 2009 - I did file a leave for this day. And besides, it's Saturday,I won't get behind with the transactions at work. The day was somehow a big day for me, or shall I say - one fine busy day. Why? Hmmmm.. 1. Sinebuano had simenar at the University of San Jose Recoletos (USJR) main campus about Indie Film with Masscom Students, it was dubbed as: "Knowing Indie with Sinebuano". 2. A Meet Up with new Cebu Bloggers Members at Ayala. Lastly, 3. Dinner with CDO bloggers at I.T Park.

1. Knowing Indie with Sinebuano.

I woke up 7:00 in the morning, prepared and packed up my things and left home around 7.45am. I travelled and reached at USJR around 8:10. I waited around 30 minutes outside USJR till Clado arrived. I texted Franz and Mam Ann to fetch us outside the campus, but to my surprise Mam Anne was still on her way, and Franz didn't reply at all (because she was still sleeping till noon - LOL).

Luckily, our co-Sinebuano folks just entered the campus, so we went together with them to the venue. There were few masscom students as we arrived at the conference room (since some were still having classes). The simenar started around 9AM. Sinebuano speakers during the seminar were:

Ron Heri Tan (History and Rationale of Cebuano Filmmaking, Production Design)
Bambi Beltran(Acting – Preparations and Practices)
Diem Judilla (Practical Writing and Opportunities in Cebu’s Independent Filmmaking Scene)
Jurly Maloloy-on (Crash Course Cinematography and Digital Editing)
Allan Layaguen (Directing)
Eleanor Valeros (Writing in Sinugbuano)

A lot of stuffs about indie film making were added to my vocabulary. The simenar ended around 5.00PM.

2. Cebu Bloggers Society Membership Committee meet up with new members.

Clado and I weren't able to meet the new CBS members for their orientation since we arrived at Ayala past 6:00 in the evening and the meet up time was 5.00PM. Anyhow, thanks to our co-membership committee for the successful orientation.

3. Dinner with the CDO Bloggers.
