Nescafe 3n1 SoundSkool 2009

Parkmall Mandaue City, Cebu, Saturday, October 10, 2009 - Cebu Bloggers were invited for this year's Nescafe 3n1 Sound Skool Visayas elimination. 15 bands all over Visayas (who passed the initial screening) competed each other to enter the next level of Nescafe 3n1 Sound Skool 2009, which is the Grand finals, to be held at the Ninoy Aquino Sports Stadium in Metro Manila this coming November 14, 2009.

3 bands bested among the 15 contestants, and the following were:

• Sundae Special from Iloilo Doctors College, Iloilo City,


• 3 hours & 10 from the University of Visayas, Cebu City


• Lady Suzette from AMA Computer College Tacloban Campus, Tacloban City

Further, here is a complete list of the 15 bands all over Visayas who joined the Nescafe 3n1 Sound Skool 2009 (in no particular order).

About Nescafe 3n1 Sound Skool:

NESCAFÉ 3in1 Soundskool is an inter-collegiate competition open to young, unsigned bands in the Philippines. From its beginnings as a battle among student bands in the Greater Manila Area in 2005, the competition has become of the country’s most anticipated music events. After the annoucement of winners, Letter Day Story, the 2008 Nescafe 3n1 Sound Skool grand prize winner performed live on stage featuring their first album which was released by Sony Music Philippines, Sulat, Araw, Kwento. Followed by the hyperactive 6 Cyclemind.

After the performance, we (the Cebu Bloggers) conducted a brief interview to the winners, Letter Days Story band and so with the organizer(s).
